Lines On Paper Artist Bio - PENNY VAN HORN



Penny Van Horn was born in Rye, New York, in 1954. She started her career in publishing and moved to Texas in 1984. Around this time, she started doing comics, especially inspired by some comics in the back of National Lampoon. She works primarily in scratchboard, linoleum and wood block. She has published work in Weirdo, Wimmen's Comix,  Snake Eyes, Twisted Sisters I & II and Zero Zero. Penny had a weekly strip in the Austin American-Statesman and illustrated for The Austin Chronicle.

Penny's personal anthology, "Recipe for Disaster", was published by Fantagraphics
in 1998.
